Main roles include Dog Training, Dog Walking, Day Care, Boarding Kennels, Dog training classes, Bookings, Advice and Support and all other management tasks.

I currently have 4 dogs of my own. My picking up team, Pip and Stial, who I work on a local shoot throughout the shooting season, Missy, a rescue German Shepherd, who I began my education into Working Trials Training with in 2018 and Koba, a black labrador, whom I hope to compete with at working trials in the future. When I’m not busy working or training my dogs you’ll generally find me at the stables where I love riding my two horses and enjoy competing with through the summer and hunting through the winter.

Ryan Cooper

Part-Time Kennel Assistant

Qualifications: NVQ Level 1 in Animal Care, currently working towards NVQ Level 2 in Animal Care

Ryan recently moved to Bad-Dog and co from another Dog Daycare Centre but had been a customer of ours previous to that for 10 years. Firstly with ‘Daisy’ his West Highland White terrier, then ‘Chester’ his Patterdale and now when you see him at the yard he will be closely followed by ‘Sherman’ his young Spaniel.

Ryan’s passion for dogs is demonstrated everyday in the way the dogs respond to him. Whilst some may be wary at first there aren’t many that wont learn to trust him in time. He often has them eating out of the palm of his hand by the end of their stay – or so the expression goes!

Ryan will often join us at dog class on a Thursday night to train Sherman after he has finished at the yard.

Simon Stanton

Dog Walker

Simon may seem familiar to some of you and that could be because he has played a very important role for us each year at our Charity Dog Show – as Commentator! Along with helping us run a fantastic day each year Simon was also a regular attendee at dog training classes with his Leonberger.

He has now joined our team as a Dog Walker. Simon is proving to be extremely reliable and trustworthy. Whilst taking his responsibilities here at Bad-Dog and co seriously he is also a fun-loving character who is always up for a laugh and joke. The dogs all respond well to his calm and easy-going approach, even some of the more tricky ones!

Ever considered a job working with animals?….

Here at Bad-Dog and co we are always looking for extra support at our boarding kennels in Scarcliffe, Chesterfield especially during peak holiday periods. If you love dogs and aren’t afraid to work hard outdoors all day then visit our Contact Us page and get in touch!
