Dog training classes can be a great way to socialise your dog whilst also teaching basic obedience commands and manners. It may also help you with any problems you are having with your dog. Maybe you have a young lively dog or a rescue dog with some issues.
Our classes are small (up to 10 per class) and friendly. Each one lasts 90 minutes and you pay £10 each time you attend. You will be given a loyalty card on your first visit that entitles you to your 10th class free.
Classes are held weekly at Calow Scouts Hut. You may come and go as you please and even change times to fit around work and other commitments. We have indoor and outdoor facilities weather depending.
Once a month we hold a Scentwork Workshop 6-9pm instead of general classes. My colleague and I are recognised Level 1 trainers through Scentwork UK but we both have other experience in the field also. The workshop aims to start you from the beginning (Level 1) and take you as far as we can or you want to go. Scentwork is a Kennel club competitive sport but also a fun and extremely rewarding thing to do with your dog – it is also suitable for any breed and any age of dog.
A full list of our class timetable can be viewed on our events page or down at the bottom in our latest classes column.
Class environments are sometimes too difficult for some dogs to manage so why not take a look at our 1-1 training options to start with. It may be that we can help you in this way with the aim of integrating you into classes further down the line.
